Dear Maria, I heard the news and am so gutted.

My mom and I attended the service on zoom yesterday and I was deeply moved to tears by all the wonderful tributes to Oupa the man and revolutionary. He was a great revolutionary mentor to me but also a kind and gentle compassionate friend. Your words about him as your partner captured him so well. We are all the richer for having had him in our lives.
