Dear Sister Maria,

I have learnt with great regret the sudden demise of our brother Oupa. I, on behalf of my family and all the sugar workers, wish to express our sincere condolences to you especially during this very hard time. Brother Oupa was a great freedom fighter with rich experiences as a social and political activist. His contributions to the emancipation and well-being of the working class has been remarkable in the region. We have lost a Great Man! He was an encyclopaedia to the social movements! I pray his soul rests in peace!
