Dear Maria

I just learned from Joachim that Oupa lost his battle against the cancer. Although we didn’t had contact for a long time, but Oupa was often in my mind, as he was one of the important mentors to me to learn about South Africa and the mechanics of capitalism. And of course I loved his humour.

I and Sabine hope very much that you have the support and energy to go through this difficult time.

We stopped working 2 years ago and living now on our sailing boat, currently in the Caribbean Island.
