Substance abuse is a pressing issue that affects individuals, families, and communities across the world. Organising a workshop to educate community members about substance abuse is an important step towards prevention, awareness, and support.

Last week, the Bronville community hosted a Substance Abuse Workshop, bringing together local residents, healthcare professionals, and support groups to address this crucial issue. The event aimed to raise awareness, provide practical resources, and foster a sense of collective support for those affected by substance abuse.

Jamie-Lee Kruger, 21, a resident of Bronville, said:

“The substance abuse workshop for affected families has provided valuable information for victims suffering from substance abuse, as well as for the supportive family members who attended.”

Community members attended in large numbers to listen, learn, and gain a deeper understanding of how substance abuse continues to harm the youth in Bronville.

As the workshop concluded, community leader Clayton Wadriff, 44, emphasised the importance of empowerment and collaboration:

“The main objective of the workshop was to empower affected parents and families with the necessary resources to help their loved ones who suffer from substance abuse.”

The workshop highlighted the urgent need for open conversations and efforts to reduce the stigma surrounding addiction. Participants actively engaged in discussions, asked questions, and connected with local organisations offering support services.

By working together, Bronville can continue to build a stronger and more supportive community. If you or someone you know is struggling with substance abuse, do not hesitate to reach out to local health professionals or community support centres for help.
