Dingaan Khanye (26) was born in Free State. He has 4 siblings and currently lives in Vaal, South of Johannesburg. He was inspired by TV shows to follow art, music and acting. He and his siblings used to fantasise about being on TV, he loved Tshisa and had a particular connection with a character name Bafana. Dingaan is a co-founder of the Blah Blah Brothers Production which focuses on theatre productions. The organisation uses theatre to raise awareness on issues such as gender-based violence, teenage pregnancy and racism. This work inspired his activism where he used art to raise awareness about social issues. One of Dingaan’s roles in the organisation is directing, writing scripts and acting.

Dingaan loves reading and writing. Reading is important to him because it helps him with his acting and scriptwriting. He engages in discussions and loves the TV program Daily Thetha. A message that Dingaan would like to give other activists is “be real with yourself and know when to talk”.
