Download PDFJulia Kgosi was born in a village called Bakerville, in Ditsobotla, North West. Julia is a Community Health Care Worker in North West and is a member of the North West Community Health Care Workers Forum (NWCHCF). Julia decided to become an activist because of the levels of violence she witnessed in families with men who physically abused women. Julia is currently fighting for the North West Department of Health to absorb CHWs as permanent workers as they are currently under contract. In addition to that, they are fighting for houses and water in her community.
