Meet the FAJ Team: Bongiwe Mtanda

Bongiwe Mtanda was born on 27 June 1999, into the Jojisa Clan in the village of Mbobeni. She is the fourth of nine children and grew up in a household which was helping the community by donating food items from the food garden.

She started a high school at Sehole combined school in KwaZulu-Natal. She has been recognised for her academic achievement.  Afterwards, she enrolled in KwaZulu-Natal University to pursue her interests in community development.

During her varsity life, she developed a love of acting and was involved in production such as Ivava Media and Connect da dots.  She was also the academic tutor for first-year and second-year students. She is currently working at Khanya college. One of her passions is to contribute to addressing community development issues through research and program.
