My name is Pennylope Makumbane, I am 19 years old. I have three brothers. Our father died in 2004, so my mother is raising us as a single mother. I completed my matric in 2021 at Sapphire Secondary School. I became an activist early in 2022 when I realised the corruption that is happening in our country, South Africa. I believe that I can fight corruption and bring about political and social changes. I am a person who supports actions such as public protests.

I want to create a happier and healthier environment where there’s justice and equality for all species. I have been involved in protests for service delivery. There are many issues facing women activists, especially sexual harassment. What keeps me motivated/inspired as an Activist is to improve our sense of mattering in the community. My advice, is that we should all fight for what we believe is right and healthy for us. The goal is to make South Africa a better place and safer space for everyone.
