On 17 July 2024, activists from different organisations worked together to plan the logistics of two events Khanya College planned for the 2024 winter school. The events will happen on different dates, those being 18 July 2024 and the other on 21 July 2024.

Logistics focuses on different fields such as shipping, warehousing, inventory, transportation, distribution, etc. The team discussed how the transportation of equipment and the participants themselves, according to what will be used in both events. What is needed are chairs, tables, and banners. But there will be cameras, laptops, mics, speakers, and phones for media.

Taxis will be used to transport people while a bakkie or a truck will be used to move equipment from the House of Movements to the Workers Museum in Newtown. ‘Warehouse’ means storage in logistics, where you keep all your stationery and equipment. Distribution is similar to transportation, but it focuses on the receiving of the goods.

Inventory is the tracking of goods and reporting about the goods and the conditions of the package. The team organised marshals, monitors, and security for both events.

The logistics team also proposed that all the participants should wear their Khanya winter school T-shirts which they received on 14 July 2024. To ensure that everyone of the appointed marshals and security people would be visible they asked to wear reflectors. The plan was that young people walk to Newtown to cut down on transportation costs.

The logistics team went to check the venue on 18 July 2024 before everyone went to the venue. In all, 80 people would be transported from Khanya to Newtown.
