For 9 years Jozi Book Fair (JBF) has been a space and a platform for organisations and individuals to express themselves and debate any issues linked to the written word. Over the years JBF has transformed into a cultural festival featuring all art forms from jazz, theatre, literature, etc. JBF creates readers and writers and supports affordable publishing and accessibility to books. Youth, authors, students, progressive publishers, NGOs, libraries, book clubs, research and academic institutions, LGBTIQ, social justice organisations, activists and the public are always welcome. Irregardless of the theme, events can be all art forms that can be linked to the written word. The deadline for applications for both hosts and exhibitors is 18 June 2017.
This year we have introduced the early bird discounts for exhibitors, where all exhibitors who apply before 31 March are eligible for a R500 discount. Take a stand at JBF 2017 and be apart of a Fair from below!
The 9th Jozi Book Fair will take place from 31 August – 3 September at Mary Fitzgerald Square and surrounding Newtown Precinct. The public is encouraged to participate.
