The level of unemployment has really caused a lot of anxiety and fear. The pandemic has deepening the rate of poverty in the country. In the news we have seen that the government officials are looting the money. The ruling party officials have misused funds meant to assist South Africans to survive during the lockdown after a lot of people lost their jobs. This looting has been happening prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, where money for service delivery is often looted. Recently most of these politicians have been exposed for taking advantage of the Covid -19 pandemic.

Since communities needs space, water and other financial resources to be able to fight and survive the virus, living condition in communities are deteriorating. The majority of people in the townships and informal settlements are struggling to comply to the regulations without access to sanitisers, masks and enough space. There is no proper water facilities or running taps for people to continuously wash their hands. This pandemic has showed how the government has failed to make sure that the country is developed in all aspects. It is time we all look for other ways of making life easier for everyone instead of waiting on government to change the living conditions we are in.
