Housing Assembly deals with housing issues. Their slogan is decent housing for all. They support people in different occupations. They also educate communities. They support people that get evicted from their homes in the informal settlement. The organisation is also involved in the campaign fighting for electricity.

The reason the organisation was formed was because of the housing issues that affected the working class, people living on the streets, poverty and lack of jobs. The organisation demands decent houses for the community. Their first campaign was the housing list campaign. Their demands were directed at the government and the capitalist. They mobilise the working class. As an organisation, the strategy that worked for them was collaborating with other organisations, to reach the community via social media and Cape Town TV to get their message across and mobilise the working class.
